I am a veteran special educator who is passionate about meeting the needs of a wide variety of learners. My theory is that the students whom I've been teaching for more than ten years are today's employees. As such, these adults with diverse learning needs are now struggling to learn job-related skills. In addition, employers are working hard to hire employees from a heterogeneous pool of applicants, and then have difficulty in training and retaining them for these positions.I am an experienced educator, with a strong background in educational theory and the physiology of the brain, as they relate to how people learn, and how best to teach in a way that is maintainable and generalizable to a variety of settings. Also, I have worked with people with disabilities for many years, and understand how these disabilities affect their learning and the steps needed to help them learn. I would love to be able to use my experience and expertise to assist companies in hiring, training, and retaining employees.
