I am a strong advocate for clinical trials and local research, and bring a holistic, evidence-based approach to my practice. I am committed to achieving the best possible outcome for my patients. Born on the Mid North Coast, I completed my Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at James Cook University with a focus on rural, remote and indigenous health. I spent my early physician years in Brisbane, Queensland before relocating to Adelaide to complete my basic physician training at Flinders Medical Centre. I subsequently undertook specialist medical oncology training at Flinders Medical Centre, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH), Royal Adelaide Hospital and Royal Darwin Hospital. I maintain an active interest in clinical trials, medical education and research. Alongside my clinical work and tutoring, I regularly review publications for peer reviewed journals and organise formal training events for South Australian medical oncology registrars. I also completed a local clinical trials and research fellowship at TQEH Clinical Trials Unit where I was directly involved in the care of numerous clinical trial patients. Outside of work, I am a local surf life saver and outdoors enthusiast.My clinical experience covers a broad range of solid tumour malignancies with a special interest in genitourinary cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, lung cancer and melanoma.
