About Anthony De Luca

My mission is to advance the understanding and innovation of materials for engineering and technological applications.As a research scientist, I worked on developing and characterizing high-performance metallic alloys for additive manufacturing and high-temperature applications. With over nine years of experience in materials science and engineering, I have a strong background in laser powder bed fusion (LPBF),and heat treatment of various alloys, such as Ni-based superalloys, Aluminum alloys, and high entropy alloys (HEA).I am also an expert in electron microscopy and atom probe tomography (APT), which I use to investigate the microstructure, phase transformation, precipitation, and segregation in various materials. I have published multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, and collaborated with leading academic and industrial partners, such as Empa, Northwestern University, Ford Motor Company, and the US Army Research Office.
