As an experienced scientist with bioinformatics training utilising several sequencing technologies in both model and non-model organisms, I am competent discussing and developing approaches for the correct assessment of data for analysis and downstream interpretation. Working on large collaborative projects and data releases I have come to value the importance of data integrity and analysis reproducibility to the on-going and long-term value of biological information. Through additional outreach training and lecturing activities coupled with industry roles, I have also developed strong communication skills regarding the dissemination of complex concepts to non-expert trainees across the bioinformatics spectrum. I am a highly-motivated bioinformatician with experience leading cross-organisational collaborations and projects, and will always strive to create a positive and productive environment for colleagues to grow, flourish and add value to institutional and stakeholder interests.
