About Dr Anuj Kumar

I am a scientist in one of the institutes of ICMR - NICPR, which is mainly working on cancer. I am currently working on two main subjects - 1. Smokeless Tobacco (SLT) products also known as chewing tobacco and their effect on the human body including oncogenesis.2. Identification of early biomarkers of hepatocellular carcinoma especially virus-induced hepatocellular carcinoma.In addition, I am trying to explore the role of ‘histones and histone chaperones’ in cancerI mainly use basic molecular biology tools for the above two projects. In addition, I extensively use structure biology, biophysics, microbiology and computational biology approaches in my lab. I am open to enrolling students for - projects, PhD, Post-doc and jobs, who are willing to work with me in above mentioned projects.
