Dr Anwar Bulbulia obtained a MBBCh from the University of Witwatersrand in 1985, after which he worked in family practice. In 2001 he started working as a medical advisor at Profmed Medical Aid Society as the Medical advisor for the scheme. Prior to this I became a member of the Fellowship of Family Practitioners and obtained a Master’s Degree in Family Medicine, as well as a Diploma in Occupational Health. Since 2000 was an honoree lecturer in Family Medicine, and involved in teaching medical students and nurses at the HIV clinic of Johannesburg General Hospital. In 2003 he became a medical advisor for the Professional Provident Society (PPS) Insurance Company, a position he still hold. Currently he is the senior medical advisor responsible for research and development medical standards . In additional to the above qualifications he also holds a Diploma in HIV management, Good Clinical Practice, Clinical HIV management; and has presented and published a number of research papers.More recently 2014 he has completed a coaching courseHealth Risk Assessment,Medical advisor. Volunteering at Hospice clinic. Keen on birding and golf(which he has difficulty with).
