Dr. Arun Eldho Alias is an accomplished Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at MBITS, Nellimattom. He earned his B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from MG University, Kottayam, in 2008, followed by an M.E. in Applied Electronics from Anna University, Chennai, in 2012. He completed his Ph.D. from Karunya University, Coimbatore, in 2024.Dr. Arun's innovative work in the field of electric vehicles has earned him two prestigious patents: one from the Government of India for a retrofitted solar car and another from Australia. His primary research focuses on the design and development of axial flux permanent magnet motors for electric vehicles. His projects have garnered significant attention, notably a retrofitted solar car project which was praised by Dr. S. Somanath, Chairman of ISRO.His contributions to the field have been recognized at the national level, with his projects "Vehicle to Grid" and "Retrofitted Solar Car" being selected for the grand finale of the KPIT Sparkle competition in 2019 and 2020 in Pune, Maharashtra.He received the best mentor certificate for the same.In addition to his academic and research pursuits, Dr. Arun is the founder and CEO of Renvolt Energy Solutions Pvt Ltd, a leading solar and charging station installation company in Kerala. Under his leadership, Renvolt Energy Solutions was recognized by T.K. Jose IAS, Kerala State Regulatory Commission, as the most successful startup with faculty equity in 2023. His commitment to sustainable energy solutions and innovation in electric vehicle technology continues to drive his work and inspire his students and peers alike.
