Prosecution of Indian Patent and Design Application

One year of the IPR fellow under the guidance of the esteemed Controllers of Patent and Design, Indian Patent Office, New Delhi gave me an insightful knowledge on the patenting Procedure in India and in the world.

My work focused on genome editing of Arabidopsis thaliana and Zea mays using CRISPR/Cas9 technique in the project titled "Genetic Transformation and Development of Elite Transgenic Maize (Zea mays L.) for Biotic and Abiotic stresses tolerance". I gained skills in advanced molecular biology. I developed CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing constructs and Arabidopsis transformation via floral dip technique and maize transformation via particle bombardment. Along with these, I also acquired skills in small RNA NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) studies and etc.
