With over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Dr. Ayham gained practical knowledge as an oral surgeon before crossing over to senior positions with globally renowned insurance companies for a broader business sector understanding. He founded ACCUMED, an end-to-end Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) solutions provider for the Middle East, in 2009. His vision was to pioneer a healthcare transformation to support providers’ operations by integrating clinical, financial, and operational workflows under one unified platform to drive better clinical outcomes at an optimized cost. ACCUMED marked the start of the RCM sector in the Middle East and after 10 years of regional proficiency and setting an industry benchmark; he spearheaded the development of partner companies to ACCUMED, namely SANTECHTURE, a fintech firm that offers AI based solutions for efficient RCM, HOSPEQ, a software development house specialized in healthtech solutions and KNWBILITY, a healthcare training academy for healthcare practitioners and providers. His visionary work led to a partnership with Gulf Capital, one of the Middle East's largest private equity firms, and successfully raised 70M US$ under Pulse Holdings Group's to be utilized for the growth and expansion of the RCM industry in the region. During his tenure, Dr. Ayham developed strong professional partnerships with the MOH and other Healthcare regulating bodies of the region including has been instrumental in personally and professionally advocating for Value Based Healthcare and transforming regional healthcare initiatives, including: • Launching the Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (HRCM) services in the Arab world• Working with lawmakers on the Ambulance Services Project to get ambulance emergency services covered under insurance policies- a first in the Middle East (UAE, KSA and Qatar)• Conceived, strategized and led the development of a fully integrated Medical Coding and Billing system for the Cooperative Council of Health Insurance in KSA, which is now implemented countrywide. • Served on the advisory board of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).A dentist who graduated from Damascus University with a specialization as an Oral Surgeon, Dr. Ayham holds an MSc in Business Administration from Cambridge College and an MSc in Healthcare Management from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.Dr. Ayham spends his free time researching collectable cars and watches as an avid fan of all engineering marvels
