It is with great honor we would like to describe the journey of an academic visionary Principal, Dr. B. B. Waphare. Since last 30 years, he has been enthusiastically and innovatively working in imparting quality education, inculcating research attitude, social and moral values which can support to develop young generation with potentials to compete wing global challenges. Throughout his career in academics he handled various responsibilities. He started his career as an Assistant Professor, and then became the Principal. He worked as Coordinator of first year Engineering, NSS Program Officer, Library In-charge, Chief Rector of boys & girls hostel, and chairman of number of college committees. He has given a huge contribution in the world of Mathematics. He published more than hundred research articles in national and international journals and many more are under process. He attended thirty four research gatherings under the name of workshops, seminars, conferences and training programs. Being a life member, he is associated with various national and international institutions, societies, journals which are manly associated with mathematics, to name few- ISTE, New Delhi, Ramanujan Mathematical Society, Tiruchirapalli, International Journal of Mathematical Sciences and Engineering Applications, International Institute of Education and Management , Member of Editorial Board for International Journal of Mathematical Research. He was appointed as a referee and a examiner to evaluate Ph.D. thesis. Under his guidance, students are pursuing Ph.D. His vision to achieve excellence in education and research and efforts he makes for that are honoured. He received 24 titles for his great work in academics, to mention few – first ranker at B.Sc. Mathematics at Fergusson College, Pune, Bharat Shiksha Ratan Award, Life time Education Excellence Award, New Delhi, Global Teacher Role model, MVLA, Mumbai, Best Educationist Award, International Institute of Education and Management, New Delhi, Bharat Jyoti Pratibha Sanman Puraskar, Ralegan Siddhi, Pune, Best Outstanding Academician National Award 2020 by Kamarajar Institute of Education and Research, Theni,Tamil Nadu,India. He follows Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam’s words: Teaching is a noble profession that shapes the character, caliber and future of an individual. If the people remember me as a good teacher, that will be the biggest honour for me.
