After eleven successful years we are expanding our tutoring clinic to further include educational or achievement level and IQ testing. Our tutoring program is individualized for the benefit of your child. After an initial appointment where there is an evaluation of the problems your child is experiencing in school, we will tutor him/her on a weekly basis until s/he feels confident in the subjects that were trouble spots. We will focus on assigned schoolwork and homework, but can also provide remedial assistance or advanced level work. We can also help students who speak English as a second language. Adults, who are students, need help editing their papers, are looking for career advancement or who have subjects giving them trouble are welcome as well! Home schooled children/teens welcome too! We are both former teachers with extensive experience in teaching both adults and children in general and those with motor/sensory, motivational, attentional, behavioral/learning problems, and children who are above average or gifted but are behind in school or students who are underachieving. We hold credentials in special education, multiple subjects K-Jr. College, single subject elementary and counseling. We specialize in children with learning difficulties but we can also help children who are interested in raising their grades to the next level or increasing their overall GPA. Our achievement testing shows our students have achieved tremendous academic growth, when they were unable to succeed and in fact showed marginal growth in the traditional educational system.
