Dr. Beth Kimathi is a social development consultant, researcher and entrepreneurship development expert with over 17 years’ progressive experience designing and implementing social and entrepreneurship programmes in collaboration with donors, public, private and NGO sector institutions including FCDO, Leonard Cheshire, Porticus, UNICEF, Norwegian Refugee Council, Open University of UK, Hope Tech Foundation and other institutions. She has worked in Kenya, Tanzania and Austria and in several counties in Kenya including Mombasa, Nairobi, Meru, Kisumu, Machakos, Tharaka Nithi, Muranga, Kiambu, Taita Taveta, Garissa, Nyeri and Transnzoia. She also has valuable experience in gender equality and social inclusion (GESI), stakeholder/partnership management, programme management, capacity building and programme coordination. Dr. Beth holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship, a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Commerce. In addition, she is a Certified Start & Improve Your Business (SIYB) Trainer by International Labour Organization (ILO) and has a certificate from Harvard Business School on Entrepreneurship for emerging economies. She is passionate about working with programmes and interventions that protect and promote the welfare of children, youth, women, and people with disabilities especially those living in vulnerable conditions and marginalized areas.
