About Dr Bushra Jamil
I am HEC approved supervisor for BS, M. Phil and PhD programs. I have keen interest in research and teaching. Currently, I am working as Founding Director/CEO of an entrepreneurial initiative dubbed as "BJ Micro Lab (Private) Limited". The guiding principle of BJ Micro Lab is to promote research in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Our mission is to promote research as a passion. Prior to that I served as Assistant Professor at National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) and at University of Lahore, Islamabad campus. In addition to that I served at Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP). I did PhD in nanobiotechnology and microbiology. My research focus during PhD was on development of nano-particles to be used as nano-carriers for drug delivery purposes. I fabricated diverse bio-based polymeric nano-scaffolds and am encapsulating commercially available antibiotics to enhance the effects of antibiotics after nano-encapsulation. Previously, I had a stint in teaching in well-reputed universities. I have strong predilection for pedagogical pursuits. Fortunately, I am also imbued with research aptitude. Despite having three very young kids and strenuous family life engagements, I am pursuing my profession with full zeal.
