Partner and GP trainer in a forward thinking practice providing primary care services to 15,000 registered patients. In 2015, we merged two existing pratices to form a new practice and moved to a new purpose built health centre with community pharmacy. We were leaders in the expansion of the GP team to include allied health professionals, bringing together a multidisciplinary team that included clinical pharmacists, paramedics, health care assistants, nurse prescribers, to name just a few. We developed community projects including the Green Gym to support outdoor exercise and gardening for our patients, Community Art Projects including 'The People's Gallery', we joined up with local opticians to support a community led emergency 'Minor Eye Conditions' service and was the first practice in Oxfordshire to deliver the Covid Vaccine Program.
