Dr Ralph is a highly experienced, future focused and innovative leader that has demonstrable success leading, developing and executing innovation programs in the start up/scale up, commercial, university, government and livestock industries. Dr Ralph has a highly valuable combination of skills in business development, strategy and business growth, research excellence and the ability to quickly build trusted and cohesive relationships with diverse and complex stakeholder groups. These skills, combined with a passion for operational excellence, have delivered successful programs across the livestock, agrifood and agtech space.Dr Ralph is a leader with demonstrated success over 15 years across science, innovation and commercialization. He has demonstrated leadership as a science program leader at SARDI, as the Deputy Director of the Animal Welfare Science Centre, The Head of Production Science at Agersens, as a member of scientific advisory panels for several research and development corporations (APL, MLA, APRIL, Pork CRC) and the national animal welfare RD and E steering committee. He has completed the foundations of directorship through The Australian Institute of Company Directors, holds an Industry Fellowship at Queensland University of Technology and has formal training in scaling up businesses. He is a member of the MSD Animal Health early talent development program.Dr Ralph builds long lasting and productive relationships with complex and diverse teams that span industry, research and government. He has been successful as a research provider, in leading and setting strategic priorities in the Australian research sector and in building and leading successful teams that drive commercialisation.
