I am a professor in Mechatronics engineering with 32 years of teaching experience and looking for new pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning. I taught mechanical engineering students for 25 years and then moved to Mechatronics Engineering as head of the department. In addition to teaching, I developed the department from the scratch and managed 30 faculty and staff. Revamped the undergraduate curriculum twice in the last 7 years, started a new master’s degree program, and established technology labs in collaboration with industry. Initiated effective Student mentoring and counselling and promoted experiential learning activities. Played a key role in recruitment of faculty and staff, guided and nurtured them to develop them as inspiring teachers.
