I am the Founder/CEO of HealthMary, a Consultant Paediatrician with special-interest in Epilepsy and Neurology, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.I am a woman who advocates for empowering women to access health and lifestyle solutions. Drawing from my personal and professional experiences, I know that a solution tailored FOR WOMEN, BY WOMEN is a vital piece in addressing women's welfare, gender equality, and socioeconomic advancement. This philosophy is at the heart of HealthMaryMake no mistakes, I advocate for children too. They, in fact, inspire my work at HealthMary, because women’s health is inextricably linked to all aspects of children’s welfare and outcomes. And when women are empowered, everyone - children, men, communities, schools, etc - are all lifted and empowered too.Through the years, I have led and delivered highly successful transformational programs and services. In 2016, I was appointed to lead innovative service change under the NHS Vanguard Programme, a care model initiative to implement effective new service pathways through local partnerships. This led to the development of the now thriving Paediatric Epilepsy and Neurology Service at Dartford & Gravesham NHS Trust. I also served as Epilepsy Co-Clinical Lead for NHSE South Thames Paediatric Network and contributed to the NHSE CYPE Transformational Programme working group, with the task to collaborate with regional teams to ensure continuous enhancements in patients quality of care and outcomesIn November 2023, with mixed feelings but with absolute clarity, I moved on from my NHS roles, and continued my work in independent health provision and entrepreneurship. I sit on the M.A.C (Medical Advisory Committee) and CYP Committee at the Spire Alexandra Hospital, in an advisory and governance capacity. In my independent clinical practice, Kent Kids Neurology Clinic, I hold special-interest clinics for childhood seizure and neurological conditions and, along with my team, provide compassionate and holistic care to our patients.I am a Health Ambassador and Advisor for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity which provides specialist nurses to children with life-limiting conditions. And as a Member on The Howard Academy Trust, I make a humble contribution to education through guardianship of the Trust’s governance and education standards.I am a volunteer befriender for Age UK. I love playing tennis, gym training and trail walking (in warm weather!) I love all things Interior Design through which I express my creativity and love for the arts.
