 Administers the statewide trauma system and other systems of care which includes the development of rules, hospital designation criteria, protocols, and policies so that they are within the scope of relevant statutory authority and consistent with the objectives of the Department and the State Trauma Advisory Council Coordinates the trauma center designation process including inspections, investigations, and related activities so that the admission process is properly administered Assists with the preparation of budget requests, travel reimbursement, grant development and other cost accounting activities associated with the trauma program so that the budget requirements of the trauma system are met with minimal  Oversees the organization of regional trauma advisory councils and regional trauma system development so that statewide trauma system is administered as required by legislation.  Facilitates communication between the Trauma Advisory Board, Regional Trauma Advisory Boards, participating hospital facilities, emergency dispatch personnel, emergency medical personnel and other entities involved in trauma system development and operations so that all stakeholders are kept informed on the progress of the statewide trauma system implementation.  Supervises and collaborates with the State Trauma Registry manager and designated staff to develop standards for data collection and reporting requirements, and the development and analyses of the Trauma Registry reports so that accurate data is disseminated. Facilitates communication between OEMS trauma program and EMS program staff to ensure maximum effectiveness of data systems, regional trauma plans, EMS systems, and other interrelated programs so that the trauma system is successfully operating according to the standards set by the State Committee of Public Health with minimal complaints reported to the supervisor.
