Health researcher, science advisor, and medical writer / editor. I began my career as a lab based bio-scientist (UCL and Imperial College). I then moved into the medical humanities and science writing . I have a keen interest in a wide range of health related topics: Human genetics, virology, immunology, mental health, continence care, public understanding of science, health stigma, medical sociology and bioethics. I enjoy academic writing, writing for the lay public, presenting and postgraduate teaching. I have worked for the NHS, several universities in the UK and abroad, as well as a number of blue chip companies. I am always interested in hearing about new opportunities in medical research / health communication / academic teaching.
