When it comes down to it, what matters to me professionally can be summed up very easily. EMPOWERING children of all ages to be the best versions of themselves. I believe that passion developed long before I founded Cornerstone Educational Solutions. I was once a struggling student myself, navigating school with dyslexia from an early age.Perhaps that experience and the lack of remediation available at the time shaped my understanding of children with unique learning differences.Or perhaps it runs in the family. My father didn’t learn to read until 4th grade. Despite becoming an accomplished and educated man, his path to embracing learning was as rocky as my own.Despite those early obstacles, I found solace and confidence in theater, later grew to love learning, and ultimately found great success in college and graduate school. It’s fascinating that these foundational elements of my childhood led me to where I am today and continue to motivate me to grow my business and help more kids succeed in learning. With over 25 years of experience as a school psych and licensed educational psychologist, I’ve made it my life’s work to provide the resources and clarity that children and their families need to overcome the obstacles of learning disabilities and special needs. As a mother of six—two biological sons and four adopted daughters from China, two of whom have special needs—I understand the impact that learning disabilities can have on a family. My kids, especially my eldest son, who also has dyslexia, continue to inspire my commitment to this work every day. Cornerstone Educational Solutions started with just me in 2008 and has grown to a team of 170+ psychs, providing educational evaluations in 15 states. Our team is dedicated to delivering thorough, efficient, and data-driven assessments that offer actionable insights and recommendations, ensuring each child’s unique needs are met with precision and care.We conduct 450+ evaluations monthly, and our expertise spans ADHD, autism, dyslexia, neuropsych, and a wide range of psychoeducational and behavioral assessments. I believe in the power of collaboration, and my team is committed to making a difference in the lives of the children and families we serve.
