Provides clinical and consultation services in Ontario to adults and seniors in a private practice setting.

Provided evidence-based solutions and expert clinical advice and education to the WSIB’s operational areas and external health care providers regarding appropriate, effective health care interventions to optimize outcomes for workers. Led and developed strategic health care initiatives specific to the management of cases with (neuro)psychological and/or psychosocial concerns. Provided leadership and professional guidance to WSIB psychologists.

In an outpatient rehabilitation unit focused on injured persons in a third-party payor context who sustained mild to severe traumatic brain injuries, provided comprehensive outpatient neuropsychological and psychological assessments to aid in treatment planning, and provided psychotherapy to treat psychological disorders (e.g., adjustment disorder, somatic symptom disorders, Post- Traumatic Stress Disorder, sleep disorders) and assist with cognitive rehabilitation to support recovery and return to work (RTW).

Led behavioral interventions on an inpatient neurology unit that focused on patients with severe Behavioral and Psychological Systems of Dementia (BPSD), and developed a tool to assess BPSD in acute, inpatient populations. Presented clinical and research works at grand rounds and conferences. Supported the community behavioural outreach team, a Long-Term Care unit for patients with BPSD, and a lecturer at York University.

Completed a 2-year post-doctoral residency at Neuropsychology Ltd. (a neuropsychology group practice) with the Arizona Psychology Training Consortium, a member of APPIC, and subsequently stayed on staff as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Provider at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Institute of Tucson and evaluated inpatients referred for psychological difficultly, pain management, and neuropsychological problems due to Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), stroke, dementia, etc., and provided interventions as appropriate (e.g., psychotherapy, taught pain management skills, cognitive screening, behavioral management planning, education to patients and family regarding brain injury). Participated in the development of the Traumatic Brain Injury Education in-service, as part of Health South Rehabilitation Institute of Tucson’s initiative for certification by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations as a Traumatic Brain Injury Center of Excellence. In a community setting, performed comprehensive outpatient neuropsychological evaluations and provided psychotherapy with a focus on individuals with brain injury and/or chronic pain.

Completed an APA accredited internship at Banner - University Medical Center Tucson, involving medical (whole organ transplant psychological and cognitive assessments), community neuropsychology, and hospital-based neuropsychology rotations. Provided psychotherapy in a psychiatry clinic, assessments and treatment in a sleep clinic, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) group therapy in an inpatient psychiatry unit.
