Conduct financial review (approximately $7 billion dollars across the Fiscal Year Defense Plan) of Ship Change Document (SCD) budgetary information for N96 in the NDE (Navy Data Environment) system, comparing the SCD funding amounts to Programming Budgeting Information System (PBIS) fiscal controls. Generate budget data via PPBE (Planning, Programming, Budget & Execution) for surface combatant programs. Develop impact statements to programs resourced from N96 in support of cost savings plan for N96 priorities and transformation efforts. Create and edit briefs for N96 to include Program Objective Memorandum (POM) briefs, program review briefs, and budget issue adjudication. Support Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) requirements as programs intersect.Provide programmatic overview of on-going US Navy Modernization efforts. This includes traceability to requirements, funding issues, fielding issues, de-conflicting multiple programmatic changes, implemented via congressional and senior leadership direction. Logistic, Testing requirements and Human Factor Interfaces also are considered as part of programmatic review to meet legislative requirements and ensure that programs will be executed on schedule and within budgetary controls.

Served as System Integration and Test Lead of the Flats Sequencing System (FSS), an $875M project to develop and deploy an automated flats sorting machine for the United States Postal Service (USPS). Developed System Engineering proposals to facilitate increased operability and maintainability of the mail handling equipment manufactured for USPS. Additionally, worked on other USPS projects including the Automated Flats Sequencing Machine 100 (AFSM100) and Flats ID Code System (FICS). Served as maintenance technical writer and instructor during development and fielding of Advanced SEAL Delivery System (ASDS).Honored with multiple Presidential Leadership Awards for outstanding customer satisfaction.

Served as an engineer onboard USS NIMITZ (CVN-68), USS UNDERWOOD (FFG-36) and USS SAN JACINTO (CG-56). During shore tours, developed and taught courses for Machinist Mates, Boiler Technicians, Gas Turbine Mechanics and Electricians, and Engineman rates. During last active duty tour traveled the east coast as part of a Diesel Inspection Team providing training and support for individual commands of the US Navy and US Coast Guard.
