Daniel Bohlmann is Investment Director for liquid an illiquid assets at Extorel. He is responsible for long-only as well as hedge fund and private markets fund selection, develops statistical models for selecting and monitoring ETFs and stocks. He also runs the investment management for selected direct holdings in venture firms.Prior to this, he completed a PhD in Computational Finance, during which he developed trading systems for financial markets using machine learning, signal processing and non-linear time series analysis. At the same time, he worked as project manager for start-up consulting and venture capital investments. He holds a PhD in Computational Finance from the University of Wuppertal, a Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Tübingen (both Germany) and a Master's degree in Management from the Ecole de Management Strasbourg (France). He furthermore studied Economics at the University of Valencia (Spain). Daniel speaks five languages, enjoys playing tennis, travelling as well as exploring foreign cultures.
