I am a registered independent social worker and lead inspector for health and social care and early years training. I have a PhD in social work (safeguarding). As a practitioner and manager I have expertise in a range of settings including, residential care for children, learning disability, adoption and fostering, child protection, youth justice, probation service and prisons. I have also worked as a lecturer in FE and HE. I am trained and experienced in handling and investigating complaints, with a particular interest in investigative interviewing of adults and disclosure work with children. Between 2009 and 2013 I worked independently for the London Borough of Merton SEND and Inclusion Service undertaking service evaluation and quality improvement initiatives.I am a strong leader and successfully develop effective and productive working relationships. I am task focused. My written and oral communication skills are excellent and my published inspection reports are excellent. I have very well developed skills in establishing frameworks to use for evaluations of services, which includes scoping and involvement of partners, other stakeholders and service-users.
