I have a doctorate in the field of AI legal governance, with a focus on governance frameworks applicable to generative AI. My research extends beyond the legal governance of AI, to also considering how AI itself may be an effective, and necessary, legal tool.I also founded a law firm based in Melbourne specialising in intellectual property law. Prior to working as a lawyer, I worked as a research scientist in biotechnology, managing an R&D program for treatments of neuropathic pain.I have travelled extensively and lived in the Netherlands, Samoa, United States and Mexico.
