A large, suburban school district of approximately 9,300 students and 1,500 employees located near Albany, New York. This highly-regarded, reform-minded organization operates on a $85 million annual operating budget. Provided direction and support for all employment functions within 11 schools and central administration (i.e., recruitment, assignment and separation).Administered the District's salary programs, employee benefit plans and employee assistance program.Directed all labor relations functions within the organization (i.e. grievances, hearings, litigations, negotiations).Supervised and directed all in-service and staff development activities which involve employees.Advised and reported directly to the Superintendent of Schools on all confidential matters within the District.Supervised all school bus transportation functions and operations.

A county-wide organization which provides specialized educational, vocational, and technical training opportunities to 45,000 students within nine (9) school districts located approximately fifteen miles; This organization maintained an operating budget of $ 30 million dollars.Recruited, selected and employed all employees within the organization.Negotiated and administered four collective bargaining agreements.Provided consultation services on human resource issues to component school districts.Coordinated all in-service programs for the BOCES.Processed all grievances, hearings, arbitrations and legal proceedings for management.Designed staff evaluation programs, health/dental options and employee assistance programs.

This small, city school district in upstate New York serves the largest student population in the bi-county area. With a student population of 3,500 students and 300 employees, this school district provides a comprehensive educational program for students of all age and ability levels.Managed an annual operating budget of approximately $10 Million.Worked directly with the Superintendent of Schools and nine members of the Board of Education.Administered the operation of the school district in the absence of the Superintendent of Schools.
