The cell to scaffold microenvironment interactions, the stem cell differentiation mechanisms on 2D in comparison to 3D, the biodegradation of the scaffolds, scaffolds as drug carriers are the immense potentials that keep the curiosity high to work with these natural 3D scaffolds.
