Born in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Deepak Kumar Tripathi is an eminent music scholar and stage performing artist. He got his primary education in music from the late Pandit Dharmapal Badpaga ji, (A grade radio artist) and music scholar Dr. Tej Singh Tak. He completed Visharad (vocal) in the first class in the year 1999 from Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth. In the same sequence of music education, he received vocal training under the skillful direction of Prof. Amresh Chand Chaubey, the principal disciple of the famous vocalist and composer Dr. Sri Krishna Narayan Ratanjankar of Agra Gharana under the Guru Shishya tradition.He was a regular student of Bhatkhande Music Institute Deemed University Lucknow. Where he continued his higher education in music by obtained first class M. Mus. (Vocal) degree in year 2003, and completed his Ph.D. in vocal music in year 2010.Dr. Tripathi is dedicated to Indian Classical Music and providing music education under Guru-Shishya tradition for over 20 years. He has delivered his scholarly lectures in many national seminars.
