I am a licensed wildlife rehabilitator in the state of New Hampshire specializing in the care and preservation of wild turtle species native to the state. In 2022, my wife and I founded NH Turtle Rescue, a center dedicated to rehabilitating sick and injured New Hampshire turtles and giving a voice to these imperiled species and raise awareness of the many challenges to their longterm survival.New Hampshire Turtle Rescue incorporated as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) public charity in December 2022. I was elected by the Board of Directors to serve as its president and treasurer.I previously held a position as a researcher in the Data Visualization Research Lab at the Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping / Joint Hydrographic Center (CCOM/JHC). My research interests included multidimensional flow and tensor visualization; 3D interaction techniques; the applications of virtual and augmented reality systems to geospatial/3D data as well as navigation and situational awareness; and perceptual and cognitive theory in the context of data visualization interface design.
