During my internship at the District Headquarters Hospital Kohat as a Clinical and Hospital Pharmacist, I gained extensive experience and responsibilities in various aspects of pharmaceutical care. My primary roles included providing disease information, conducting patient counselling, reviewing prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness, checking for drug interactions, managing inventory, ensuring patient safety, and exploring drug alternatives.Additionally, I conducted significant research on “Prevalence and Clinical Impact of Drug-Drug Interactions in Hospitalized Patients with Myocardial Infarction.” This study aimed to analyze the frequency and implications of drug interactions among patients admitted for myocardial infarction, contributing valuable insights into optimizing treatment outcomes and patient care strategies.Throughout my tenure, I leveraged my skills to support clinical decision-making, enhance medication management protocols, and promote overall patient well-being within a hospital setting.

During my one-month internship in a pharmaceutical industry, I gained hands-on experience in drug manufacturing and quality assurance processes. I participated in sourcing and testing raw materials, adhering strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This involved meticulous documentation and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure product integrity and regulatory compliance. I learned to operate pharmaceutical equipment, conduct quality checks, and analyze batch records for deviations, contributing to process improvements and efficiency enhancements through collaborative teamwork with production and quality control teams.This internship deepened my understanding of the complexities and regulatory requirements of pharmaceutical manufacturing. It provided me with practical skills, such as quality assurance procedures and teamwork dynamics, reaffirming my passion for pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical industry.
