Every year, my office evaluates hundreds of submissions for new programs, products, and services, each deemed critical by the submitting team. The challenge is determining which align best with the American Chemical Society's mission to enhance our member, customer, and employee experience. That’s where my team and I come in. As the Assistant Director of Strategic Planning, my primary responsibility is to interpret ACS's annual objectives, strategic direction, and budget. I then transform these into clear guidelines for my team to evaluate submissions for final review. Our work begins long before the final review. We actively engage with stakeholders from concept to submission, helping them align and refine their projects to fit the Society's strategic direction and long-term goals. I am also tasked with developing innovative products to enhance operational efficiency, ensuring seamless project integration across departments. Leveraging my expertise in change management strategies, I ensure smooth processes and strong stakeholder support. With over 20 years of experience leading technology and business teams through various initiatives in government, telecommunications, consulting services, and a nonprofit, I bring a wealth of knowledge to my role. My education, including a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree and certifications in Executive Women in Leadership, Project Management Professional (PMP), and Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP), further enhances my ability to drive strategic success.
