Senior Vice President - Product (Head Of Product)
CurrentWe achieved significant growth, with our user base expanding to over 200,000 masterclass attendees and 50,000 members. We also surpassed 100,000 app downloads, maintaining an average rating of 4.9 on the Play Store and 4.5 on the App Store. Notably, we did not promote the 1% Club app; it was exclusively introduced to users after they paid for membership.User engagement on the app was impressive, with 80-90% of active installs engaging monthly. Our NPS and CSAT scores for initiatives like the Bootcamp (Academy) and offline events were highly encouraging. Conversations with peers and industry reports suggest we had one of the highest course completion rates. On the product front, we decided to seek more control by building an in-house engineering team. The benefits clearly outweighed the potential downsides. Additionally, we secured an RIA license, enabling us to offer financial advice to paid members. This allowed us to seamlessly expand from education and community into fintech. Our product roadmap was expanded to provide a unified experience across education, community, and financial services, incorporating learnings from our scaled MVP.My focus shifted to hiring for engineering, enhancing our design functions, and strengthening the product and community teams.Building an engineering team from scratch required strategic planning to maintain a lean team, identify key personnel with relevant experience in the highly regulated fintech space, and anticipate scaling and security challenges. We aimed to scale efficiently without incurring excessive costs, while maintaining the agility of a startup.
