Ensure the network provides a service availability of 99.995% or better. Coordinate effective fault diagnosis and problem resolution to ensure network Mean Time To Repair for on-net components is within company agreed objectives. Ensure world class network performance monitoring and system/component/service outages are escalated within the set/agreed timelines respectively. Ensure 24 hours per day 7 days a week basis monitoring for all Main One’s Network Operations. Manage, coordinate and support network performance management systems for the delivery off required network service levels. Work with engineering teams to formulate, test and implement restoration plans for use in the event of network outages and formulate routine preventive equipment maintenance plans for the different elements/components that make up the Main One’s Network. Ensure all network, customer and process documentation including but not limited to design documents, AS-built, capacity utilization, network availability, spares holding (location, and availability). Coordinate the daily operational activities as performed by the various Cable Station managers and their staff and ensure that each Cable Station Manager is aware of the status of the system at all times.

• In charge of network operations, technical OAM activities in region in line with approved KPIs and business objective. OAM include transmission, BSS, NSS, Data/IT and Power/facilities management.• Responsible for execution of expansion/up-gradation/scope change activities in the region.• Maintenance and protection of technical assets, documentation, records, backups etc. • Estimate planned expenditures, budget monitoring and budget control and cost management.• Implementation of methods, processes and policies and ensuring vendor compliance of SoW/Contracts. • Mentoring staff development, training and team building.• Undertake the day-to-day management of the network in the East and Co-ordinate the activities of the Operations and Maintenance centers in the East.• Ensuring network availability, preparedness against forthcoming disasters and plan steps to ensure minimum downtime or damage. • Responsible for all timely resolution of faults within the east network operations.• Interface with the sales and marketing departments to ensure that customer’s complaints are resolved in a timely manner as spelled out in the KPI.• Supervise vendors and contractors to achieve company’s roll-out and maintenance policies.•• Responsible for the technical decisions of the region, with approval from the CTO.• Interface with other operators in the East on inter-connectivity issues.• Supervise manage Services contractors, design and produce all relevant reports to headquarters.
