My core clients are financial institutions, asset management firms and family enterprises. I advise on corporate and investment law matters, as well as on banking regulation and I have extended experience in mitigating internal conflicts between stakeholders of large enterprises. In recent years I also investigated potential breaches of duty of care, regulatory duties and internal conflicts by board members for a number of financial institutions, and advised on the legal consequences. I maintain good relationships with the supervisory authorities but I am always willing to pursue client interests where these may conflict with government authorities. I speak German and English, and, to a degree, also French.I am known as author and publisher of numerous legal papers on questions of financial law and regulation of financial institutions. My most recent publication is a legal commentary on german investment law (published by C.H. Beck 2019).
