Born and raised in New Orleans, I have over 30 years of firsthand experience with the changing landscapes of the education system. My expertise is extensive with experiences in teaching, assessing students’ skills, writing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and overseeing compliances of special education departments. As a consultant, my overall mission is to ensure that each student’s precise needs are met, ensuring that they receive the best education opportunities by utilizing evidenced-based resources and customizable skills and strategies to help them achieve their academic goals.Being on the frontline, I've had the opportunity to serve in various capacities that directly impact all students, particularly those students with special needs. My specialty is working with students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder. I've also worked in several leadership roles in both K-12 and in post-secondary settings. As a professor in the department of education, I taught graduate-level courses that have allowed me to educate and empower other special education teachers and administrators.
