Dr. Glory Edet is the first female Commissioner for Agriculture since the creation of Akwa Ibom State. While serving as the Honourable Commissioner, Dr. Glory Edet initiated and implemented innovative policies that improved the development of the Agricultural sector and created economic opportunities in Akwa Ibom State. She was a member of the National Council on Agriculture and Rural Development from 2020 to 2022.
