NSPDT is public purpose charitable trust woring with a mandate to pormote, protect and nurture smallholder poultry producers and their collectives (Farmer Producers Organisation-FPO). Today, it spearheads the largest organized family poultry initiative in India and is one of the largest enterprise of indigenous communities globally; uniquely the enterprise in its entirety is owned by women farmers. There are over 15,000 women poultry producers from the vulnerable sections of the society are working under the aegis of NSPDT to earn their livelohoods with dignity.
