Committed to creating spaces where students can achieve their college-going aspirations. Currently serve the education community as Early College HS Academic Dean in Goose Creek CISD, with recent experience as a secondary-level Assistant Principal. Previous experience includes education data analysis, with a focus on mobilizing research and data analytics to achieve school improvement through student success. Proven ability in coaching teachers in best practices as an Instructional Coach, teaching all levels of high school English, and working as a secondary English curriculum writer for Clear Creek ISD, Dickinson ISD, and Deer Park ISD. I have managed department staff, coached teachers and tutors, implemented grant programs, presented workshops in innovative instructional practices, and developed new courses according to state and College Board guidelines. I completed a Doctorate in Education at Texas A&M University, with an emphasis on curriculum and instruction. My Record of Study research centered on the use of curricular intervention to change perceptions of college readiness among at-risk students. My husband and I, along with our children, have lived and worked in interesting places like Seattle, Washington, Houston, Texas, Lytham, England, and Moscow, Russia. No matter the location, I strive to make school a place where students feel valued, challenged, and supported.
