I would like to introduce myself Dr. Imran Khan currently working as a Senior Principle Scientist-(Team Leads) Analytical Development department in Dabur Research & Development Centre at Dabur India Limited since February 2017 to present. I completed my doctoral degree thesis in 2013 entitled “Chemical studies of plants of Indian system of medicine, chemical modification of their major constituents. Development of HPTLC/HPLC protocols for standardization of herbal products based on quantification using marker compound/s” from Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) -Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM). During my doctoral study, I worked in the area of Natural Product Chemistry particularly on medicinal plants in which the study was taken for optimization of extraction methodology to get a better yield of secondary metabolites (natural compounds) isolation and their characterization of bioactive molecules using various spectroscopic technique like from the different parts of plants, their semisynthetic modification of bioactive natural product after getting the screening of their bioactivity guided fractionation. Phytochemical analysis of isolated molecules quantified in the different plant extracts based on HPLC/HPTLC method and published in the peer reviewed international journals. I have sound knowledge about chromatography, extraction, fractionation & isolation of compounds from medicinal plants, and spectroscopy analysis like 1HNMR, 13CNMR, Mass etc.. I handled several analytical sophisticated equipment’s like HPTLC, HPLC, LC-MSMS, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, NMR UV, FT-IR, etc. During my research tenure so far I have 10 publication and handled the various industry projects like food honey authenticity using NMR, nutritional label claim of herbal and food products using ICP-MS method, Optimization and standardization of herbal extracts to get maximum bioactive molecules and check their authenticity using different parts of the plants. Analytical method development, method validation for other herbal and food products, analytical data interpretation, internal audit, documentation, team management . handling the projects from time to time as per the requirement of organization. Calibration and maintenance of sophisticated instruments, their planning for AMC & CMC contract from vendor to reduce the breakdown time. Planning for preparation of capex and opex budget as per the requirement and to facilitate the team to run the instrument smoothly.
