A bit about me:I am a qualified teacher and a Chartered Child & Educational Psychologist (EP) working now across West Sussex and the South East. I have worked over the last 22 years extensively in London and the South East. Working with individual pupils, classes, whole school settings, teachers and support staff across primary, secondary and post 16 educational settings. I have provided consultations and training for education, social services and health professionals. I work closely with parents and carers providing workshop sessions to support them. I have delivered training to teachers and support assistants on the following topics: Attachment, understanding trauma, teachers and the teenage brain, demystifying behaviour, staff wellbeing, enhancing young people's motivation, developing resiliency and working together to support SEMH within education. I am a specialist EP and have supported Children Looked After (CLA), those who are care experienced and adopted young people and their families. I have been part of Virtual school teams and supported many agencies including CAMHS professionals, other health care experts, social workers and foster carers. My approach is very much child focused. I strive to support the young person by empowering and enhancing the expertise of the network around them.I have carried out extensive training as part of my work for virtual school networks. Training audiences include Foster carers, social workers and Designated teachers.I enjoy creating & setting up kids club activities for young people to help enhance self esteem, confidence and resilience.Please do send me a message if you need any advice, training or assessments.
