Dr. Jacqueline Thomas of Wenatchee, WA is an integrative primary care physician and the clinical director of the Alpine Valley Wellness Center(AVWC). Jacqueline Thomas' vision of medicine combines the requirement to be appropriately scientific with the need to be compassionately pragmatic. Her commitment to education and prevention stems from Dr. Thomas' desire to improve her Wenatchee community and the world one individual at a time. Dr. Jacqueline Thomas takes the time to continuously review the medical literature so that she is able to keep her patients abreast of current developments. As a community advocate, Jacqueline Thomas has given numerous public lectures in Wenatchee, WA on various health topics. A primary care physician with over two decades of clinical experience, Dr. Jacqueline Thomas' integrative approach (utilizing the best of evidence-based conventional medicine, functional medicine, and naturopathic medicine) focuses on creating a successful partnership with her patients so that the quality of their lives can be restored and optimized. Each intervention is tailored to the unique physical, mental, and emotional matrix of each person, and utilizes successful strategies that address the root cause of any given health problem. Dr. Jacqueline Thomas received a BS from the College of William and Mary and her doctoral degree from Bastyr University in 1995. Jacqueline then completed advanced training in allergy management, physical medicine, and detoxification at the Center for Optimal Health in Bellevue, WA. Dr. Thomas also completed a residency in primary care with Olympia Family Medicine in Lacy, WA. Dr. Jacqueline Thomas is an active member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), the national organization that supports the naturopathic profession. Her experiences as a Peace Corps volunteer in West Africa solidified the link Jacqueline saw between education and empowerment, on the one hand, and ignorance and oppression on the other. In healthcare, as in life, she observed that empowering people to make informed choices requires taking the time to help them understand all the available options. Together with her husband, Dr. Gary Piscopo, Dr. Jacqueline Thomas founded the Alpine Valley Natural Health Clinic in Wenatchee, WA in 1996. It later evolved into the Alpine Valley Wellness Center, which has grown into one of the most successful integrative clinics in Central Washington.
