I currently operate a general plastic surgery practice as the Head of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Lions Gate Hospital, managing Skin Cancers, Hand and Wrist Surgery, Nerve Surgery, Breast Surgery and Microsurgical Reconstruction. Having additional fellowship training in Hand and Peripheral Nerve Surgery from Washington University, St. Louis, I have been able to work with the very active local population and tailor my practice meet the needs of athletes and individuals with upper extremity injuries.I enjoy working with individuals with nerve related injuries including carpal tunnel, traumatic nerve injuries, brachial plexus injuries, or other nerve compression syndromes offering both surgical and conservative treatments. I work closely with the Hand Therapy Department at Lions Gate hospital and operate an integrated clinic with them weekly. I have also helped to establish a wound care clinic at Lions Gate Hospital for individuals with major wounds requiring surgical management.Based on both my experience and training, I have a significant interest in Hand and Nerve surgery and a research interest in Bio-Design including Brain Computer interface. I believe that upper extremity amputees can have significant improvements in their quality of life through neurologically integrated prosthetics and Targeted Muscle Reinervation.
