Retention Coordinator - Admissions Adviser - Assistant Mens Basketball Coach
Design and coordinate tutoring sessions, workshops, evening meetings and other outreach efforts and projects to support and coach the targeted population.Design and advise an on-going men’s support group workshop series in conjunction with other offices and staff on campus.Facilitate and advise the largest mentoring group on campus (Diversity Peer Leaders)Organize on-campus and outreach recruitment activities targeted at underrepresented students, especially those from the Boston Public School System.• Provide programming and supervision of activities planned by the Office of Diversity and Inclusionsupport to residential living learning communities.Collaborate with offices in Academic Services, especially The Learning Circle, to provide programming and support for underrepresented students.Collaborate with the Dean of Students to provide service and civic engagement opportunities. •Supervise and train student work study staff. Assist in Orientation and RA training Implement programs for College OrientationRecruit new students as part of the Admissions staff.Read , accept and deny prospective student applications• Student counseling and advising• Provide college ready presentations to high schools• Daily administrative duties (answering phones, making calls, emailing students and parents)• Organizing Student Database,• Facilitate college tours for prospective students• Specialize in the recruitment in the Greater Boston Area• Hire, supervise, train and evaluate mentors progress and providing ongoing supervision;Ensure that program services are carried out, such as activities, follow-up support to matches and life skills workshops;Keep agency current on all volunteer screening issues and techniques;Work with Board, staff and consultants to develop and implement ongoing evaluation procedures;Restructure, Reorganize and rewrite the mentoring programs to meet new objectives.
