B-TAST has provided management and technical support to the Department of Health (DoH), the Social Welfare Department (SWD) and the Public Health and Engineering Department (PHED).Responsibilities: As a key member of the Senior Management Team, I am responsible for providing overall strategic leadership in the project, leading the MLE unit at State and district level and support Govt. of Bihar, India at all levels. I am responsible for leading the components of monitoring, evaluation and learning including dissemination of evidence based research for convergence and sustainability of interventions besides putting in place mechanisms for institutionalisation of MLE system within key Govt. departments. I provide strategic direction and guidance to the MLE unit at State level as well as District level teams and also coordinate with the National and International M&E experts for Technical Assistance for quality assurance on M&E.Notable Accomplishments:Development and implementation of M & E strategy; Undertaking largest Health, Nutrition, Gender and WASH survey (District level SWASTH Survey- DLSS in Bihar) across the State; Undertaking several studies on Health, Nutrition, Gender and WASH as per MLE Milestones; Setting up MIS in coordination with GoB; and developing several Knowledge Management products (print/video/audio/e-Newsletter/Policy Briefs, etc.) for advocacy.
