I am an environmental scientist & environmentalist by profession and working for the protection of the environment- water conservation, waste management, air pollution control, climate change, SDGs, plantation, and social issues like human rights, gender equality, female feticide, education and social reforms under the banner of Environment and Social Development Association (ESDA India). ESDA India is an NGO that works as a non-profit organization on environmental protection, social change, and sustainable development since 2004 (www.esdaindia.org)Presently, I am working as a Professor (Ass.) of Environment at Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, University of Delhi since 2017. I have worked for 2 years as a Scientist C at Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, University of Delhi to work on a special Indo-US Project ‘Indoor air pollution from biomass cooking and Asthma exacerbation in Children & Women’. I have also worked 4 years as a Research Associate in the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) Delhi, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India with the special engagement of Ganga River projects like the National Ganga River Basin Authority (NGRBA), Nammami Gange & National Mission for Clean Ganga with Jal Shakti Ministry. I did my Ph.D. from Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, University of Delhi, and my M.Sc. in Environmental ScienceI have received more than 15 reputed awards including the JP National Award 2022, Environmentalist of the Year 2017, Scientist of the Year 2018, GSI Person of the Year 2018-River Conservation, Paryavaran Ratna, Samaj Ratna, Paryavaran Prahari, Green Leadership Award, Biodiversity Conservation Award, GSI Paryavaran Prahari, etc.I am leading many campaigns like Jal-Kranti Mission (Water Conservation by public participation) Mission for Clean Hindon, Green India Mission (Tyohar Manao-Ped Lagao), Air Pollution Control Program, Environmental Education and Sensitization Program for Students (Green-Pathashala) and Beti Bachao Andolan. we have rejuvenated 6 ponds, planted more than 1 lacs trees, and arranged more than 100 marriages without a dowry. Now working for the conservation of Hindon river. I have organized more than 10 National and International Conferences as Organizing Secretary/Convener under the banner of ESDA and with associations of other eminent institutions. I have published 42 research papers, 18 review articles, 5 chapters in edited books, 5 Souvenirs, and 51 abstracts. Delivered more than 35 invited or guest lectures, 12 sessions chaired, and 28 papers presented.
