My mission is to develop and implement cutting-edge technologies that enhance the efficiency, sustainability, and quality of manufacturing processes across various industries. As the Head of R&D Production at FFT Produktionssysteme GmbH & Co.KG, I lead a talented and diverse team of engineers and researchers in Hamburg, where we collaborate with clients and partners to deliver customized and scalable solutions for their production challenges.In my current role, I am responsible for defining and driving the research and development strategy of the company, managing the resources and budgets, and overseeing the development and customer projects in the areas of hydrogen technology, battery cell production, composite manufacturing, and digitization of production facilities. In cooperation with Ferrari we developed a simulation system for aluminum welding. To verify the results, we made several experiments. The effect of the welding on distortion, depth of penetration and mechanical properties of the welded joint were checked. The experiments were performed with different thicknesses of the workobjects and different gaps.
