Within this organization, I:- Created a business plan for developing a CORF (Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facility), secured financing, developed marketing strategies, created policy and procedure manual, and implemented stringent HIPPA and medical compliance guidelines.- Supervised a staff of 20+ employees and conducted all operations related to owning a company, including networking, developing marketing strategies, training, and payroll.- Obtained a DME (Durable Medical Equipment) license through Medicare in the first year and developed sales program to increase DME sales, which in one year grew revenue an additional 17%.- Opened second clinic once first office surpassed business plan. - Built annual revenues from start-up to approximately $600K.- Identified niches in the market and seized opportunities to grow company with additional services.- Created first Women’s Care Program within 10 mile radius of clinic. - Developed an Incontinence Program and trained therapists to perform therapy. - One of three locations in Hampton Roads to offer newest cutting edge technology for Diabetic Neuropathy using Anodyne Therapy.- Secured contracts with 3 assisted living facilities, 2 adult daycare centers, 2 home health agencies, and had steady flow of referrals from 2 senior living facilities and from multiple hospital caseworkers.- Established transportation service for low-income patients and needing wheelchair services, thereby decreased missed appointments by over 58% and increased physician referrals. - Created quarterly marketing and sales plan that led to a successful increase in billables, which was notable when Medicare Prospective Payment System began and numerous therapy caps were implemented.- Maintained extensive knowledge in Medicaid/Medicare rules and regulations for outpatient therapy, CORF’s, hospices, home health, acute inpatient, and orthopedic practices.- Was well-versed in DME billing and reimbursement.
