Doctoral level professional and Certified Public Accountant (1996) with experience in small business, local government, and education. (Some experience concurrent). Over the last eleven years, (thirteen combined years) I have worked in the field of education, primarily higher education; as an instructor of tax, accounting, and business courses, as well in several program management positions. My teaching experience includes work at National College and Mountain Empire Community College, as an adjunct for a period, and then as full time professor. Program management includes eight years at MECC where I have operated three separate programs for MECC (Dual Enrollment, Summer Regional Governor School, and Great Expectations). Nearly a decade of experience in Local Government as elected Supervisor for Lee County Board of Supervisors, interim Treasurer Town of Jonesville, Finance Director for Lee County, (Lee Co. Administrator's Office), and other positions, appointments, and community service. I also operated a small accounting business for about six years and have considerable experience working in the field.
