Dr. John Saviour Yaw Eleblu Email and Phone Number
A warm, trustworthy, great and loving person.I was trained as an Agriculturist at the undergraduate level with specialization in Crop Science at the University of Ghana. At the post-graduate level, I specialized in Genetics and Breeding and then I pursued a PhD degree in Plant Biotechnology at the University of Paris South, Orsay in France where I learnt how to speak French and became aware of French Culture. My post-doctoral studies involved analysis of gene expression to understand the molecular basis of parthenocarpy (seedlessness) in tomatoes at the famous Crop Genomics laboratory (located at INRA, URGV in France).Upon my return to Ghana in 2014, I was appointed a Visiting Scientist at the West Africa Centre for Crop Improvement (WACCI). In February 2015, I was appointed a Lecturer at the Biotechnology Centre, University of Ghana. Currently I am still a lecturer at the Biotechnology Centre and the Coordinator of Research Programmes, Francophone West Africa for WACCI. At WACCI, we are working towards improving the productivity of cultivated food security crops and we are actively training plant breeders for the sub-region so that National crop improvement programmes will be strengthened with the required human capital needed to spark agricultural revolutions in the various countries.
