I have more than 12 years’ experience assessing real-time cellular metabolism in a wide range of cells and tissues. My expertise covers in-depth knowledge of mitochondrial bioenergetics with specific skills using Extracellular Flux (XF) Analysers and High-Resolution FluoRespirometry for investigating many aspects of cellular metabolism, including mitochondrial function and toxicity. My aim is to provide expertise and services in real-time mitochondrial and cellular metabolism using living intact cells. I specialise in areas including cell metabolism (immune cells, cancer cells, neuronal cells, cardiovascular cells, stem cells, cellular metabolic phenotyping), drug discovery and toxicity (cellular metabolism in early drug discovery, mitochondrial safety toxicology, environmental cellular toxicity) and sports, exercise and health (blood biomarkers, immune cell health and function). Using my experience and expertise I support services from experimental design and execution to data analysis and interpretation. As technology advances I am constantly evolving and optimising methods to improve the reproducibility and reputability of real-time cellular metabolic profiling assays using primary human cells and tissues. I offer beginner and advanced training courses in XF technology and consultancy services to client organisations interested in maximising experimental output using Seahorse XF analysis.
